There are only 2 farmer's markets left for this summer market. We have had a lot of fun and look forward to seeing all of our wonderful vendors and the community for our markets on September 22 and September 29, 9-12.
Come to the farmer's market on June 23 to see your favorite farmers! This week's produce will include: radishes, beets, lettuce, Swiss chard, peas, arugula, kohlrabi greens and more! You will also find Triple J Farms grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken, granola, baked goods and produce. Emily, from Honaker Farm, will have her jams & jellies and gluten free baked goods! Diana will be there with her jams, jellies, granola and gourds...and her musician husband! Stephanie will have a wide assortment of pies, mini pies, cookies and breads! Pam, with Herbal Scent Creations, will have her bath & body products, including soap, bug repellant, bath salts, and lip balm...plus more! Sames & Cook will be offering coffee and coffee beans. Colleen will have her wonderful fresh squeezed lemonade, seasoning mixes and homemade laundry detergent 8 Sisters Bakery will have their locally made doughnuts! When you donate items to Trinity's food pantry, you will receive an entry to win a basket of farmer's market goodies! The more items you donate, the more chances you have to win. The items we need the most are canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, canned meat and personal care items (shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, etc) You never know who else will show up. This week you will find baked goods from Stephanie, Honaker ; Candle in the Hills and Herbal Scent Creations will be back with their candles and bath & body products; Sames & Cook will be offering coffee and coffee beans...and possibly doing a coffee roast!!! Produce you will find....beets, radishes, lettuce, Swiss chard, peas, and arugula. New this week.....HONEY & bee products (bee pollen and propolis)!! Come on down and see what else we have to offer on Saturday, 9-12, at Trinity UMC! There are lots of things to celebrate with the June 9 market! We will have at least 11 vendors offering goods for sale. You will meet the farmers from Triple J Farm, Honaker Farm, and Legere Farm. Additionally, the folks from Candle in the Hills, 8 Sisters Bakery, and Sames & Cook will be at the market with all sorts of goodies! If you are looking for produce, you will be able to get locally grown radishes, beets, Swiss chard, lettuce, spinach, peas, and arugula. Plus, Triple J Farm will have a selection of pasture-raised chicken and grass fed beef. Emily, from Honaker Farm will have an assortment of gluten free baked goods and some delicious homemade jelly and jam. Stephanie will be back with her homemade pies, scones, and fruit tarts. Dennis & Mary, with Candle in the Hills, are excited to join us this week with their locally produced candles, air fresheners, and melting rounds. Sames & Cook will be back with their locally roasted coffee beans and cups of coffee. 8 Sisters Bakery will have an assortment of doughnuts and other baked goods Come by the market 9-12 at Trinity Church today. We are ready to start the first year of the Mt Gilead Farmers Market! The commitee met today and we are ready to accept applications for venders! Our first day for the market will be June 2nd.
